How the Counter Total Aggregator Works

The Counter Total Aggregator combines the totals of the counters you select into one sum, average, minimum and maximum. You tick the counters to include, and the combined figures update instantly.

  1. List your counters: The tool shows every saved counter with its current total.
  2. Select counters: Tick the counters to combine, such as Door A, Door B and Door C.
  3. Choose the measure: Pick sum, average, minimum or maximum.
  4. Read the result: The combined figure updates whenever a selected counter changes.

Counter Total Aggregator Formula

The Counter Total Aggregator sum equals the total of all selected counters, and the average equals the sum divided by the number of selected counters.

Sum = Σ C(i) | Average = Sum ÷ n | Min = min(C) | Max = max(C)
C(i)
Total of selected counter i
n
Number of selected counters

Example: Door A = 340, Door B = 215 and Door C = 125. Sum = 680. Average = 226.7. Minimum = 125. Maximum = 340.

About the Counter Total Aggregator

A Counter Total Aggregator is a tool that merges several counter totals into combined statistics. The tool saves adding numbers by hand at the end of a count.

Ways to Use the Counter Total Aggregator

There are 5 main uses of the Counter Total Aggregator, including multi-door totals and team counts.

  • Multi-door totals: Venues add counts from every entrance.

  • Lane averages: Traffic teams average counts across lanes.
  • Shift comparison: Managers find the best and worst shifts with min and max.
  • Store rollups: Chains add stock counts from several branches.
