How the Touch Analytics Dashboard Works

Bring touch totals and rates into one view. Check the time span for each result, then compare which areas get used most.

  1. Connect the data: Link the dashboard to your interaction counter or upload an exported log.
  2. Pick the date range: Choose today, the last 7 days, the last 30 days or a custom range.
  3. Filter: Filter by page, element, device type or country.
  4. Read the panels: See key figures, trends and the top-element list.

Touch Analytics Dashboard Formula

A rate is the count divided by time. A share is one count divided by the total, times 100.

Change (%) = (Current − Previous) ÷ Previous × 100
Current
Value for the selected period
Previous
Value for the period before it

Example: Taps rise from 12,400 last week to 14,260 this week. Change = (14,260 − 12,400) ÷ 12,400 × 100 = +15%.

About the Touch Analytics Dashboard

A touch dashboard groups counts, rates and charts so you can review a test in one place.

A large count alone does not tell you why people touched an area. Look at the task, time span and test notes as well. Compare like-for-like runs to spot a useful trend.

Ways to Use the Touch Analytics Dashboard

Use a dashboard to review tests, compare layouts or share a summary. Here are five tasks.

  • Weekly reviews: Teams check week-over-week changes.
  • Launch monitoring: Teams watch interaction after a page redesign.
  • Mobile optimization: Designers compare touch and mouse behavior.
  • Content planning: Editors see which content gets the most taps.
  • Stakeholder updates: Managers share dashboard figures in meetings.
